PSG Mercato: Paris Plans to Sell Veteran Goalkeeper Rico Under One Condition

With the recent arrival of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma via a free transfer deal, Paris Saint-Germain is now facing a notable goalkeeper dilemma ahead of the upcoming season.

As Keylor Navas is expected to stay on with PSG past the ongoing summer transfer window, veteran goalkeeper Sergio Rico may soon be on his way out of the club.

Rico is already starting to garner transfer interest, as one recent report noted that Turkish side Besiktas is keeping a close watch on the goalkeeper’s situation with PSG club officials.

However, PSG will need to go the extra mile in order to offload Rico in the coming month.

As noted by Le Parisien (via Le10Sport), Rico is set to make €2.6 million this upcoming season. If PSG aspires to sell Rico, it would need to absorb a sum of this amount, with the buying club then paying off the rest of his wages coupled with the transfer fee as well.

For now, PSG remains on standby as it looks for a club to acquire Rico.
