PSG Mercato: Paris Leaning Towards Keeping Kalimuendo for the Upcoming Season

Paris Saint-Germain club officials are now siding towards keeping prospect Arnaud Kalimuendo for the upcoming new season, according to a report from Le Parisien (via Le10Sport).

Kalimuendo recently returned to PSG following his one-season loan stint with Ligue 1 side RC Lens, where he wound up scoring key goals over the league campaign.

PSG elected to block Lens from keeping Kalimuendo via a permanent transfer deal, as club officials preferred that the forward remain contracted with the side.

The French powerhouse has a multitude of options on what it could do with Kalimuendo for the upcoming season, as it could integrate him into the first-team or send him off via a one-season loan deal. For now, club officials have opted for the former, as the French prospect is currently slated to stay put with the team.

PSG has until the end of the ongoing summer transfer window to officially resolve this matter.

In the big picture, regular playing time minutes with a first-team will be crucial for Kalimuendo’s development this upcoming season.
