Paris Saint-Germain has expressed interest in Stade Rennais midfielder Eduardo Camavinga. Also, the 18-year-old reportedly is intrigued over the idea of playing for the capital club.
However, Rennes isn’t keen on the idea of selling their prize midfielder to the French giants and having Camavinga remain in Ligue 1. RMC Sport’s Mohamed Bouhafsi reported in May that they want €100-million from the French giants.
The price tag is a clear message that Rennes doesn’t want to sell to PSG. Nonetheless, there could be another club possibly throwing them a lifeline. According to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United is making advance contact with Camavinga, one of their long-term targets.
Furthermore, Rennes is open to negotiating for €30-million since the French club runs a risk of losing the teenager for free next summer. It will be interesting to see whether Rennes will play hardball with PSG or allow the capital club and Manchester United to begin a bidding war for Camavinga.
Nonetheless, The Red Devils do appear to be a threat for the midfielder.
