There was a report from L’Equipe stating that Kylian Mbappé has decided not to renew his contract with Paris Saint-Germain. French media outlet RTL would confirm this news too.
However, RMC Sport (via Paris Fans) has other information regarding the contract extension talks between Mbappé and the capital club. According to the report, the 22-year-old wants to be convinced by PSG’s project.
Mbappé expects an ambitious and ultra-competitive team capable of winning the Champions League. Despite what other media outlets report, RMC Sport states that discussions continue between his family and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.
PSG has hit the ground running with its summer transfer window, cornering the free agent transfer market and spending big to lock up Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi.
These moves are only the beginning for the French giants as they plan to have a transfer budget of between €200 and €250 million to provide a squad for Neymar and Mbappé to win the Champions League.
If the capital club does indeed plan to spend that amount of money, it could grab the attention of Mbappé and make him feel comfortable committing more of his playing career to this project.
