Gianluigi Donnarumma and the rest of the Italian squad are about done celebrating their UEFA Euro final victory over England. Now comes the return to their club and for the 22-year-old goalkeeper, finishing up his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
There was plenty of interest in the young shot-stopper. Juventus FC and FC Barcelona all were looking to land Donnarumma on a free transfer. Nonetheless, PSG met the financial demands that his agent, Mino Raiola, asked to sign his client.
With Donnarumma wanting to focus on the Euros with Italy, Les Parisiens had to wait for their new prized goalkeeper to arrive. Now it seems as there’s a date.
According to French football journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Donnarumma will be arriving in Paris this Wednesday to wrap up the final details of his contract. The Italy international will also meet Mauricio Pochettino’s staff and his teammates.
The former AC Milan goalkeeper plans to stay in Paris for a day before enjoying a few days of rest after playing in the Euros this summer.
