Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Sergio Rico is slated to be the next player to leave the club over the ongoing summer transfer window. Following PSG’s signing of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Rico has fallen back one spot in the team’s goalkeeper depth chart.
Thus, PSG is now looking to move Rico, as he could go on to not make a single appearance over the upcoming new season due to his current status as the team’s third-string goalkeeper.
Rico has already been linked with multiple clubs for a possible transfer deal, including Turkish side Besiktas.
As further noted by L’Equipe, Besiktas is well interested in signing Rico, although the club is waiting for the veteran goalkeeper to provide for a final declaration on whether he would be interested in joining the Super Lig powerhouse.
Rico was a reliable goalkeeper for PSG last season, as he stepped up to the occasion during periods when Keylor Navas missed time due to injury. But now, he is well on the verge of ending his short tenure with the Ligue 1 giants.
