The summer transfer window is now open, which means that Paris Saint-Germain can well now finalize permanent and free transfer deals.
PSG will have multiple dilemmas to manage over the upcoming months, including with Kylian Mbappe’s future at the club. The French forward will become a free agent next year when his ongoing contract deal with the club expires.
For the moment, Mbappe has reportedly made a decision on his club status for next season.
As noted by Le Parisien, Mbappe plans to stay on with the French powerhouse for the upcoming new season.
While Real Madrid has been linked with a possible transfer move for Mbappe, the PSG star sees that such a move could be complicated this summer due to Los Blancos’ current uncertain financial situation.
Thus, Mbappe plans to honor the final year of his contract with PSG. This decision has already been made clear to PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino, who the forward is much a fan of.
Mbappe is well confident that PSG can make a serious run in the UEFA Champions League this upcoming season, especially as the club has orchestrated deep runs in this competition over the past two campaigns.
From there, Mbappe has not yet provided a final declaration on his long-term PSG future, whether he intends to sign a contract extension deal with the club or if he plans to part ways as a free agent.
