The 2021 Copa America Final is all set as Argentina will square off against Brazil.
This final will pit a showdown between Argentina star Lionel Messi and Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar, which is a duel that many aspired to see come to fruition even before the tournament began.
For Neymar, this is a fixture that he wanted, especially as he is well familiar with plenty of current players in the Argentina national team.
On the other side, Messi is well ready for this upcoming showdown, which the forward touched upon (via Marca) following Argentina’s major semifinal win against Colombia.
“I know Neymar said it because he’s a good guy, it’s the final we were all waiting for,” Messi said. “It’s going to be the final we were all hoping for, it’s going to be very close, very difficult.”
Both Messi and Neymar have shined so far in this edition of the Copa America. The Argentine star currently sits as the leader in goal contributions in this tournament with nine, while the Brazilian forward ranks second in this key stat with five.
This will be yet another must-watch duel between two of the premier talents in world football today.
