Paris Saint-Germain has now completed its preseason schedule, as it finished off with a 2-2 draw in its match against Sevilla. Overall, PSG notched three wins and two draws over its preseason schedule.
PSG midfielder Ander Herrera only featured in two of PSG’s five preseason fixtures, which included the team’s matchup against Sevilla.
Herrera stands much pleased with the work that PSG has done over the past couple of weeks, from its commitment during training sessions to its quality showings in friendly matches.
In speaking following the match against Sevilla (via PSG’s official website), Herrera provided some takeaways from the draw result and touched on the effort that the team has put forth in training sessions as of late.
“Playing today against a side that will play in the Champions League and that is used to winning competitions and titles, it’s a good test,” Herrera said. “It’s to be expected, we have trained a lot, put in a lot of effort during this preseason, so it’s to be expected that we feel the fatigue at times.”
PSG is now expected to see the rest of its regular first-team talents soon make their debut in training, from Leandro Paredes to Marco Verratti.
The new Ligue 1 campaign is just around the corner now.
