The France national team had a friendly against Wales as they prepared for the UEFA European Championship, and Les Bleus came away with a 3-0 victory. One of the goal contributors in the fixture was Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappé, who opened the scoring.
Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema, who has returned to the France national team, recently spoke to the Agence France-Presse and discussed playing alongside Mbappé. Both players will be vital as the French squad looks to add a European championship to follow up their World Cup win in 2018.
“He’s a very good player. For his young age, he can do everything. These are the players I love, who know how to play with one-touch, take depth. Agile, fast, efficient,” Benzema said. ” We haven’t played a lot together but in training, we look for each other, it’s easy. He knows how to play football and it is very important to have him.”
Benzema also touched on whether he’s playing an inside agent and has any feel as to whether Mbappé wants to go to Los Blancos.
“That comes to him at Real, that would be ideal. All the great players want to come to Real one day so I hope that it will happen quickly, in any case, if he wants to leave PSG which is a good team too,” Benzema said.
