Kylian Mbappé has yet to score in the UEFA Euro 2020. If France wants to get by these knockout stages, they’ll need some scoring help from the Paris Saint-Germain forward.
In his press conference, PSG defender Presnel Kimpembe spoke to the media, where Canal Supporters relayed his statement. The 25-year-old stated that he’s not concerned about Mbappé going through a goal-scoring slump with France.
“The competition is not over yet. Scoring is not a problem for him. Then he is at the service of the collective for the team. So I think this is something that will be soon. During the three games, he created a lot of chance,” Kimpembe said.
“He did not put them at the bottom, but he took part in the team’s offensive actions, and above all, he managed to create chances. This is the most important for the team. Above all that remains the victory and the points which are the most important.”
France will kick off the Round of 16 against Switzerland, where the reigning World Cup champions are the favorites to advance.
