Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar Jr. is currently playing for the Brazil national team in the Copa América. The 29-year-old has played two fixtures thus far, dominating against Venezuela and Peru as the Seleção has secured all six points.
Neymar has two goals and one assist in these two matches. Although the PSG forward appears to look healthy and in form for next season, Neymar is at the forefront of a French football pundit’s criticism back in Paris.
RMC Sport’s Daniel Riolo spoke to Winamax, and during the interview, the topic of Neymar came up. Riolo didn’t hesitate to rip the Brazil international for his lifestyle. Canal Supporters relayed the comments made by the pundit to the media outlet.
“Neymar plays poker all night long while watching his dumb Brazilian series. If he were performing at a high level, I wouldn’t care about his private life. But there, it is a handicap for him. This invincible preparation sacked is a problem. He has only played 50% of the matches since he arrived at PSG; it is no coincidence,” Riolo said.
“He’s clearly less efficient than before. Internally, I know the staff is worried about their performance. Neymar is in physical decline. He still runs on the field, but unfortunately, more intelligently. Before driving the nail. What he does next to football, his shift, that has an influence. In modern football, there are too many guys who are not serious on the side. They are no longer consistent and good over a whole season.”
