Although Presnel Kimpembe was on the 2018 World Cup-winning France squad, he didn’t see much action in that tournament. However, the 2020 UEFA European Championship is where he’s now the starter.
The 25-year-old has the opportunity to introduce himself to the casual football fan that might only watch international competitions or isn’t aware of his talents.
Recently, Raphaël Varane, the center-back partner for Kimpembe on the France national team, spoke about the PSG defender and what it’s like playing alongside him. Now another defender is talking about playing with Kimpembe on the backline for France.
FC Bayern Munich’s Lucas Hernandez talked to the media, providing insight into playing with Kimepmbe. Canal Supporters relayed the comments made by Hernandez.
“After with Presnel, I know him very well, and he’s a very great player. We played together in the French hopefuls team. I appreciate him a lot on and off the pitch,” Hernandez said.
“He helps me a lot. He gives me advice on when to go out or stay. We have perfect complementarity, and I hope that it will continue like that.”
