Report: Juventus Open to Signing Navas as PSG Changes Stance on the Goalkeeper’s Future

Paris Saint-Germain could be in for a goalkeeping dilemma over the upcoming summer transfer window.

Recent reports have noted that PSG is on the verge of signing impending free agent and Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to a multiyear contract deal.

Thus, Navas may be on the verge of losing his starting goalkeeper role with PSG, even though he starred for the team over the recent campaign and won the Ligue 1 goalkeeper of the season award.

For the moment, Juventus is pondering whether to reach out to PSG to facilitate a transfer move for Navas, according to a report from the Spanish-based outlet Marca.

Juventus is on the lookout for a new backup goalkeeper and could also be interested in providing Wojciech Szczesny with competition for his current starting spot.

PSG is now open to listening to offers for the veteran Costa Rican goalkeeper. Marca adds that PSG would consider accepting a bid of at least €12 million for the talent.

Considering Navas’ age and the fact that he only has a mere three seasons remaining on his contract deal, this reported transfer demand is not much of a grand surprise.

PSG is not completely set on offloading Navas, but for now, such a departure could be on the horizon.
