Following a historic Europa League-winning run this past season, Villarreal is already looking ahead to improving its squad over the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Spanish-based program El Larguero (via Le10Sport) notes that Villarreal manager Unai Emery views Paris Saint-Germain talent Pablo Sarabia as one viable option to improve the team’s attacking depth.
The report adds that talks have opened up between Sarabia’s representatives and Villarreal. However, it is not known whether Sarabia has any interest in a return to La Liga to join Emery at the Yellow Submarine.
Villarreal is not the only La Liga team showing an interest in signing Sarabia this summer. Atletico Madrid and Sevilla have also been recently linked with a possible move for Sarabia as the latter is looking for a reunion this summer.
Sarabia finished the recent Ligue 1 campaign with six goals scored.
Sarabia has three more seasons remaining on his current deal with PSG, which may provide the French powerhouse with an advantage during potential negotiations with clubs aiming to sign the Spanish playmaker.
