Following its win over Barcelona in the transfer pursuit of Georginio Wijnaldum, Paris Saint-Germain may now be in for another battle for a Serie A defender.

As Fabrizio Romano told PSG Talk, both PSG and Chelsea are in talks with Inter Milan for current defender Achraf Hakimi.

PSG has been in touch with the talent’s agent for weeks now. Over this time, Chelsea reportedly jumped into the transfer talks with an eye on beating out PSG for the Inter talent.

Romano notes that PSG reportedly submitted a €60 million transfer offer to Inter for the wing-back, although the reigning Serie A champions will not settle for any deal below €80 million.

Tuchel and Chelsea officials are well interested in such a move, but it is not known whether the Premier League side plans to meet Inter’s staggering €80 million transfer demand.

Tuchel could very well be looking to plot some revenge against his former club.
