After formalizing the free transfer from Liverpool FC midfielder Georgino Wijnaldum’s and the pending arrival of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, Paris Saint-Germain now shifts its attention to actively working to recruit a new right-back.
Italian media outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Canal Supporters) reports that negotiations for Inter Milan defender Achraf Hakimi should accelerate in the coming days.
According to the report, PSG will submit a new offer to Inter Milan for €70-million. Nonetheless a €10-million gap remains considering the Serie A club wants €80-million. Furthermore, Chelsea FC also appears to be in the mix for Hakimi as they’re ready to make a cash offer along with Emerson Palmieri.
Nonetheless, the Italian club needs cash and likely isn’t interested in including a player for this deal. So the game of chicken continues, but this should be coming to an end soon as Inter Milan needs to get a sale done by the end of June.
