PSG Mercato: Paris SG Shows Interest in Memphis Depay as Possible Alternative to Moise Kean

Paris Saint-Germain would like to hold onto Moise Kean, who’s on loan from Everton FC. However, it doesn’t appear they’re willing to pay a significant transfer fee to keep the 21-year-old, considering that the capital club would instead splash the cash on other areas of need to improve the squad.

It seems as though the French giants could be looking at other alternatives at striker, considering that Mauro Icardi could also be a candidate for departure with constant rumors linking him for a return to Italy.

According to Mundo Deportivo (via A Bola), Les Parisiens looks to engage in discussions with Olympique Lyonnais’ Memphis Depay, who could leave on a free transfer later this month when his contract expires. With PSG wanting to spend big in other areas, a free transfer for a position which might become a need should they not retain Kean or sell Icardi.

The capital club’s interest in Depay would set off another square off against FC Barcelona, which wants to bring the player to improve its attack. Both clubs are reportedly in a bidding war with Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum, who plans to leave later this month on a free transfer.
