Rafinha had a couple of good appearances for Paris Saint-Germain in his first season in the French capital. Nonetheless, the 28-year-old is an expandable piece, which is why rumors are circulating regarding his future.
According to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, AC Milan has Rafinha on their list as a possible replacement for Hakan Çalhanoğlu. However, there’s not much further information regarding Milan’s potential interest in Rafinha.
The Brazil international would be a low-cost replacement for Çalhanoğlu. During his first year with PSG, Rafinha made 34 appearances where he registered seven assists with no goals.
The midfielder has experience in Serie A, even though it was for a few months when he played for Inter Milan during the 2017-18 season. The 28-year-old scored two goals and registered three assists in 17 appearances.
Should AC Milan pursue Rafinha, it’s a transfer file they could obtain, considering it doesn’t seem he’s a player Mauricio Pochettino has in his plans.
