Juventus’ Chiesa Lauds Verratti’s ‘Class’ Euro 2020 Performance Against Wales

Juventus playmaker Federico Chiesa said Marco Verratti’s Euro 2020 performance against Wales showed ‘class’.

Verratti earned a start for Italy in the team’s Euro 2020 group stage fixture against Wales, which was his first appearance in a match since suffering the notable right knee injury in early May.

Verratti had one standout showing in the match, as he recorded an assist and created multiple key goal-scoring chances for teammates.

Chiesa came away from the match much impressed with Verratti’s performance, which the Juve talent spoke further about to the Italian-based outlet Rai Sport.

“Marco has been playing at the highest levels with PSG for years and he showed his class once again today,” Chiesa said.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder well proved that he has not only recovered from his knee injury but is ready to put out key showings for Italy when needed.

In the big picture, Italian national team manager Roberto Mancini will now have a notable dilemma on whether to start Verratti in the team’s upcoming Euro 2020 Round of 16 fixture.
