Brazilian national team manager Tite lauded Neymar’s versatility as one reason why he is a difficult player to defend.
Neymar has been at the top of his game with the Brazilian national team as of late. In two World Cup qualifying fixtures and a Copa America match over the past few weeks, the Paris Saint-Germain forward has recorded six total goal contributions.
Opponents are simply having a tough time attempting to contain Neymar’s top-class prowess.
Tite credits Neymar’s versatility as to just why he is currently playing at such a high level, which he detailed (via France Football) further following Brazil’s recent win over Venezuela.
“When Neymar is well physically and mentally, good things happen,” Tite said. “A player with this technical quality is unpredictable.
“When he plays higher on the field, it is better for him, because the opposing players are afraid to foul him at a dangerous place on the field.”
Neymar missed the 2019 Copa America tournament due to injury. The PSG star is currently playing as if he has a chip on his shoulder considering that he very well could have claimed his first major international trophy had he been healthy to play in that tournament two years ago.
