Xavi Simons Earned First Career Trophy Win With PSG’s Triumph in the 2021 Coupe de France Final

Paris Saint-Germain clinched yet another Coupe de France tournament win following its 2-0 victory in the final against AS Monaco. For one current PSG prospect, this trophy win means a bit more than to some of the team’s veteran talents.

PSG midfield prospect Xavi Simons claimed his first career trophy win with this Coupe de France victory. Simons only appeared in one match over the tournament, which came during a 12-minute shift against SM Caen in the third round of the knockout stage. Still, this was enough to earn him a Coupe de France medal.

Overall, Simons currently sits a mere two appearances in all competitions this season. More so, it is unlikely that he will go on to feature in the team’s Ligue 1 season finale against Brest.

It will be noteworthy to see whether Simons will be with PSG’s first-team next season or if he may elect for a one-year loan move elsewhere.
