Neymar remains confident over Paris Saint-Germain’s chances of mounting a comeback in the UEFA Champions League semifinal second leg against Manchester City.
PSG heads into this second leg bout with Manchester City down 2-1 in the tie. PSG finished off the first leg failing to win yet another home match in this season’s Champions League knockout stage. PSG now heads to Manchester for the second leg of the tie where, on the other hand, the French powerhouse has had formidable success in pivotal away fixtures this season.
Neymar feels that PSG can push through for a tie win over the upcoming second leg fixture against the current Premier League leaders. The Brazilian forward spoke to PSG TV about this mindset ahead of this showdown.
“We have a very difficult match against Manchester City, but we have to believe, no matter what the stats or our percentage chance of winning is,” Neymar said. “I think that every Parisian has to believe in us, I’ll be the first to do so. I’m going to fight and do everything in my power to get the victory.”
Neymar aims to guide PSG to a second consecutive appearance in the Champions League final, which would be the third overall of the Brazilian’s career so far.
