Paris Saint-Germain fell 2-1 at the Parc des Princes to Manchester City, and now the capital club will need to find a way to score two goals at the Etihad Stadium.
The French giants will want to clinch a spot in the UEFA Champions League final for a second straight year, and Marco Verratti spoke at a press conference where Canal Supporters relayed his comments.
One of the questions the midfielder answered is over the mentality of the squad heading into this match, knowing what’s on the line.
“It’s different mentally. To reach the final, it will be necessary to win with two goals difference. It changes a little bit. We will start the match with the desire to win. I know it’s difficult ground against a difficult team. We know we have nothing to lose. You also have to be happy on the pitch and think about playing football,” Verratti said.
“Everyone dreams of playing these kinds of matches. You have to play with character. The team showed that we play with a lot of personality on the outside. To play the final, we have to go through this type of match. We have to play a good game to go to the final.”
