Paris Saint-Germain will look to win the Coupe de France final as the capital club takes on AS Monaco. After crashing out in the UEFA Champions League Semi-Finals against Manchester City, the French giants hope to secure domestic silverware.
Marquinhos spoke to the media at a press conference, where Canal Supporters relayed the defender’s words. One of the first questions asked is over their mentality of the squad heading into this match.
“We are experienced players, and we know the importance of this match. We now have two finals to play. Tomorrow will be our first final,” Marquinhos said. “We also know the opponent, and we have to concentrate because it will be a big shock. They’ve beaten us twice this year, and we have to prepare well to be ready tomorrow.”
Les Parisiens have struggled this season against Monaco all season this year as they dropped both fixtures Niko Kovač’s squad.
“Each team will have its strategy to put in place. If we look at the matches, we had done good things despite the defeats. But there are things to correct as well,” Marquinhos said. “It’s a team that was efficient, especially at the Parc against us. We have to be vigilant and technically good to score goals. I think it’s going to be a great game.”
