Paris Saint-Germain’s first half woes continued during its Ligue 1 away fixture against Rennes. The French powerhouse failed to muster up any high-percentage goal-scoring opportunities during the opening half. However, PSG was gifted a penalty kick late in the first half.
Rennes defender Nayef Aguerd clipped Layvin Kurzawa in the penalty box and after a check from VAR, a penalty was awarded to PSG.
As he has done countless times before for PSG, Neymar stepped up to the plate and scored the penalty attempt following his trademark run-up.

It was a lackadaisical opening half for PSG, but at the least, the side has a 1-0 lead.
