AS Monaco has had Paris Saint-Germain’s number this season as Niko Kovač’s side has won both fixtures in Ligue 1 against the capital club. Despite these results, the French giants will look to come away with the win in the most crucial meeting of the season, the Coupe de France Final.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media at a press conference where Canal Supporters relayed his comments. One of the first comments is over his plan to come away with a victory against Monaco.

“We have to give credit to this quality Monaco team,” Pochettino said. “They beat us after a Champions League match against FC Barcelona. It was a game where we had control, but they were efficient and defended very well. There, it’s a final, and it’s different.”

Pochettino then discussed the approach he’s having to the week with a domestic cup final and winning the league potentially over the weekend.

“I am calm, calm. The final will be tomorrow; we will play for the title, and Sunday too,” Pochettino said. “I am a quiet coach while having in mind the responsibility that is mine before playing a final. I hope tomorrow will be a good day for us.”
