Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco will square off in the coming days for the 2021 edition of the Coupe de France final. PSG will be aiming to at the least finish off the season with one trophy win while Monaco looks to record its third win of the season against the reigning Ligue 1 champions.
Monaco midfielder Aleksandr Golovin is much looking forward to this final against PSG. The Russian midfielder has only played in 10 minutes against PSG this season but may be relied on to have a key role in the upcoming domestic cup.
Golovin does not see Monaco as the overwhelming favorite in this upcoming duel, which he detailed why during a talk with the club’s official website.
“The final against PSG will be difficult against a very good team,” Golovin said. “We will be outsiders. But we have the possibility of bringing back the trophy.
“It’s a dream and I hope we will make it come true.”
Monaco still has much to play for in league play as it aims to finish third in the table, which would clinch the side a spot in next season’s UEFA Champions League qualification round.
