Rising Serie A Star Locatelli Opens the Door to a Possible PSG Transfer Move

Sassuolo star Manuel Locatelli gave his take on whether a move to Paris Saint-Germain could be on the horizon.

Locatelli has burst onto the scene this season as one of the top midfielders in Serie A. Locatelli has helped Sassuolo battle for a top-seven spot in the Serie A table thanks to his four goal contributions and keen 1.1 key passes per game average this season.

The Italian talent has received plenty of interest for a possible move over the upcoming summer transfer window. More so, he would be interested in a move to Paris Saint-Germain if such a proposal were to come his way.

Locatelli spoke to L’Equipe on just why he would be intrigued with a move to PSG.

“There are trains that you have to take and if they are foreign, you have to make this choice,” Locatelli said. “Seeing Verratti, Florenzi and Kean succeed there (PSG), it obviously makes you want to. There are the Italians but also Neymar and Mbappe. PSG has an image of a great club.”

Locatelli has several more years remaining on his current contract with Sassuolo. It remains to be seen whether PSG has plans to bring in the rising Serie A talent to the club.
