Report: Verratti and Three Other Players Will Miss PSG’s Ligue 1 Fixture Against Rennes Due to Injury

Due to Lille OSC’s win against RC Lens on Ligue 1 matchday 36, Paris Saint-Germain will not have the opportunity to re-take first place in the league table following its matchup with Rennes. Still, this upcoming fixture is a must-win one for PSG if it aspires to battle it out with league-leaders Lille until the final matchday of the season.

PSG will head into the match without two of its regulars. As noted by PSG’s official website, Marco Verratti recently picked up a slight right knee injury in training. PSG’s medical staff will further evaluate Verratti’s injury in the coming days, which puts him as a doubt for the upcoming Coupe de France semifinal encounter with Montpellier.

Mbappe is still dealing with a right calf injury. Even if Mbappe was fully fit for this fixture, he would still not be included in the team’s squad list due to a yellow card suspension.

Juan Bernat (knee) and Alexandre Letellier (fractured finger) continue to recover from their respective injuries.

PSG looks to remain a mere one point behind Lille in the standings following Ligue 1 matchday 36.
