Kylian Mbappe remains as Paris Saint-Germain’s lone contract extension dilemma at the moment. PSG officials have already come to terms on extension agreements with the likes of Neymar, Angel Di Maria and Keylor Navas. Thus, this leaves the club waiting on what Mbappe will end up deciding.
The French forward will become a free agent next year when his current contract with PSG expires. Thus, PSG could end up electing to offload the forward over the upcoming summer transfer window in case that he chooses not to sign a new multiyear extension deal.
For Mbappe, the forward could announce his extension decision by Aug. 1, as noted by the Spanish-based outlet Marca (via Le10Sport). The current PSG forward remains focused on the upcoming Euros with the French national team and thus aims to put aside this extension dilemma for the meantime.
This could be problematic for PSG as this date is close to the start of the new Ligue 1 campaign. If Mbappe decides that he wants to leave PSG, the club would be in an immediate rush to find a replacement for the forward.
Mbappe finished off the recent campaign with 42 goals in all competitions.
