Report: Kalimuendo Set for a PSG Return This Summer Following a One-Season Loan Stint With Lens

Paris Saint-Germain is set to bolster its forward depth this summer.

As noted by L’Equipe (via RMC Sport), RC Lens had a €6 million buy option embedded in the loan agreement with PSG for Arnaud Kalimuendo, who recently capped off a seven-goal Ligue 1 campaign. Lens well intended to trigger the clause in order to have Kalimuendo stay put with the side.

However, in a turn of events, PSG has decided to block Lens from triggering the purchase option but will have to pay a €1.5 million fee in order to do so.

PSG will have plenty of options with Kalimuendo over the upcoming summer transfer window. The French powerhouse could opt to keep the forward, which is an option that manager Mauricio Pochettino is leaning towards. A permanent transfer move could also be on the cards for the PSG talent.

Kalimuendo currently has three more years remaining on his contract deal with PSG.
