Paris Saint-Germain defender Juan Bernat has been out of action since suffering the notable ACL injury during the team’s home Ligue 1 matchup against FC Metz earlier this season.
The initial projection was that barring any setbacks, Bernat would make a full recovery and be back in action by late April or early May. Still, PSG has not yet given Bernat the green light to return to in-game action with the team.
As Le Parisien now notes, Bernat is not expected to feature with PSG again this season. The Spanish defender remains focused on the last stages of his injury recovery and now will look ahead to being fully fit by the start of next season’s Ligue 1 campaign.
Bernat will thus finish the campaign appearing in only three of PSG’s fixtures in all competitions this season.
PSG only has three league fixtures remaining this season. The French side will continue to rely on its other left-back options for these matches.
