Real Madrid Won’t Pursue Mauricio Pochettino if It Fractures Relationship With PSG

Real Madrid continues to feel the blow caused by the departure of Zinedine Zidane from his managerial position. However, it seems as though Los Blancos ready to move on as they study various options to replace the French tactician.

There are several candidates that Real Madrid eyes to takeover its vacant position. Goal reports that one of them happens to be Paris Saint-Germain manager Mauricio Pochettino as the Argentine tactician has reportedly asked to leave.

However, before Real Madrid supporters begin welcoming Pochettino, Marca reports that although there’s interest from the Spanish club, they won’t pursue him at the cost of fracturing its relationship with the French giants.

Real Madrid doesn’t want to pay any compensation and would like for PSG to free him to take over the managerial position. Nonetheless, Los Blancos will not go to war for Pochettino as they know that taking care of relations with Les Parisiens is vital to try to get him to agree to sell Kylian Mbappé this summer.

Two summers ago, Real Madrid and PSG agreed to a transfer for goalkeeper Kaylor Navas. So the La Liga club would like to keep this established relationship and proceed with caution if they decide to pursue Pochettino.
