PSG Now Set to Only Have One First-Team Free Agent This Summer Following Draxler’s New Extension Deal

Following last year’s summer transfer window, it looked as if Paris Saint-Germain was going to be losing multiple players via free agency in 2021. The likes of Angel Di Maria, Juan Bernat and Julian Draxler all were slated to become free agents over the upcoming summer transfer window.

Now, PSG will not be having any notable free agent dilemmas as it recently came to terms on a new contract extension deal with Draxler. PSG had already agreed to new extension deals with Di Maria and Bernat earlier this season.

As it stands, third-string goalkeeper Alexandre Letellier is the only first-team player who will become a free agent at the end of the season. Letellier joined PSG last year as a free transfer following a stint with French side US Orleans. The French goalkeeper has yet to make a single appearance in any competition with PSG this season.

PSG will have multiple options regarding who will be its third-string goalkeeper next season. The side could sign Letellier to another one-year contract or go out and explore the transfer market to find a goalkeeper suitable for the role.
