Rafinha’s time with Paris Saint-Germain could be coming to an end as the 28-year-old is one of the players that doesn’t seem to be in the plans for manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The midfielder saw significant playing time under Thomas Tuchel, but that didn’t happen when the Argentine tactician took over the position in January. France Football (via Culture PSG) reports there’s interest in Rafinha back in Spain.
According to the French media outlet, several clubs have inquired, including RCD Espanyol de Barcelona. The Spanish club is returning to La Liga after being relegated in 2019-20, and it seems they want to land Rafinha to make sure they stay up in the first division.
The report doesn’t reveal an offer from the Spanish side or what the capital club could look for in a potential deal for Rafinha, who’s under contract until 2023. Furthermore, FC Barcelona will benefit from 35-percent of the compensation for the player’s future transfer.
