PSG Mercato: Qatar-Based Journalist States Barcelona’s Lionel Messi Inching Closer to a Move Towards Paris SG

FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi will see his contract expire next month and is free to sign anywhere he wants. Nonetheless, there are two realistic options outside of the Spanish club for the 33-year-old, and they’re Manchester City FC and Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Qatar-based journalist Mohammed Al Kaabi, Messi appears to be inching closer to a move towards signing with the capital club. With Neymar Jr. now extending his stay with Les Parisiens, the 29-year-old could look to convince his former teammate to join the French giants.

Despite this news concerning Messi potentially heading to Paris, the Spanish media does provide conflicting reports. El Chiringuito de Jugones does reveal their information where they state that Messi wants to remain with Barcelona.

For Messi, a temptation to take on a new European challenge before his career ends sounds enticing, but there’s also the pride in having played for one club in his career that might cause the forward to stay with Barcelona.

Regardless over the next few weeks, there will be plenty of speculation of what Messi decides to do concerning his future and where he will play next.
