PSG Mercato: Paris SG Could Pursue Achraf Hakimi as Inter Milan Looks to Reduce Payroll

Inter Milan dethroned Juventus FC to claim the 2020-21 Serie A crown; however, this glory could be short-lived. Plagued by significant financial difficulties, Inter will have to reduce the wing during the summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport (via RMC Sport), Antonio Conte is expected to leave the club quickly. Following a superb season, concluded by a league title, they will live a frustrating summer. In the grip of great financial difficulties, the Milan-based club will have to save money.

This situation should lead to the departure of Conte. The Italian tactician could pack his bags within 48 hours, two years after arriving. With the intentions of Inter’s management to save money, Conte does not wish to be the manager of a weakened workforce next season.

Several essential players could follow him, like Achraf Hakimi, who would appeal to Paris Saint-Germain. Last year, Hakimi arrived from Real Madrid €45-million, but there’s an urgency to reduce costs with Inter’s accounts in the red. The Italian club will at least look to recoup their initial investment.

The capital club could take advantage of Inter’s necessity to players to reduce its payroll by 15 to 20-percent. The Serie A champions would like to garner around €100-million in sales during the summer transfer window.
