Paris Saint-Germain will like to see some upgrades this summer, and one position the capital club would want to improve at is in their midfielder. Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes appear to be building blocks, but French giants eye to add more depth behind the two.
According to Le10Sport, Les Parisiens appear to have a transfer target to help improve their midfield in FC Barcelona’s Miralem Pjanić. The midfielder has made 29 appearances and hasn’t scored a goal or registered an assist this season.
The Spanish side doesn’t see the 31-year-old in its long-term plans, and Pjanić doesn’t want to remain, so they could look to move on from the Bosnian. As for the cost, the report doesn’t say what Barcelona could look for, but Transfermarkt has Pjanić’s transfer value at €28-million.
The La Liga side is looking to cut some wages off its bill, and Pjanić is a candidate to help with these slashes. Despite the interest from PSG, they aren’t the only club looking to secure the player as Chelsea FC also has its eyes on the player.
