PSG Mercato: Paris Set to Compete With Barcelona for a €30M-Rated Brazilian Defender

Following the UEFA Champions League loss to Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain may now look to revamp its squad over the upcoming summer transfer window. PSG has reportedly singled out one talent within Ligue 1 to begin this process.

PSG has now joined Barcelona in the early interest of Brazilian and AS Monaco defender Caio Henrique, according to a report from the Brazilian-based outlet UOL (via Le10Sport).

Both clubs have already made early contact in order to explore the possibility of such a transfer move. It is not yet known whether either club pushed ahead to make an offer.

Henrique currently has a transfer value estimated to be in the range of €25-€30 million.

The Brazilian defender joined AS Monaco over last year’s summer transfer window. He has since gone on to feature for the Ligue 1 side in 32 appearances in all competitions this season, with most of his playing time minutes coming as a left-back.

PSG currently has three left-backs on its roster, although it remains to be seen whether the side has plans to offload one or two such players.
