After months of reporting that Paris Saint-Germain and Neymar Jr. had a contract extension in place with the capital club, it seems as though the agreement can finally become official.
L’Equipe (via Canal Supporters) reports that the 29-year-old will put pen to paper as Neymar is going to sign a contract extension that keeps the Brazil international until 2026.
Romano adds that Neymar will earn €36-million per season with a significant bonus should the French giants win the UEFA Champions League trophy during these next five years.
There will also be a big announcement to help commemorate Neymar’s extension. Now the capital club can focus on extending Kylian Mbappé, and Neymar will try to convince the player to continue his stay in Paris.
Neymar wants to win the Champions League again and hopes that it will be alongside Mbappé. Then there are the Lionel Messi rumors, as Neymar did reveal last year that he hopes to play with his former FC Barcelona teammate.
Also, this contract extension puts to rest the Neymar return to Barcelona rumors.
