Juventus FC continues to eye Paris Saint-Germain striker Mauro Icardi. The Italian giant wants to shake up its squad after losing its grip on Serie A and barely clinching a UEFA Champions League spot for next season.
The capital club is open to selling the Icardi but isn’t actively shopping the player. His agent/wife, Wanda Nara, is looking to secure a transfer for her husband that would see him return to Italy.
According to Calcio Mercato News, speculates that since Juventus is cash strapped, they could look to offer midfielder Arthur in a potential swap deal for Icardi.
Since arriving from Brazil, Arthur has shown flashes of his potential but hasn’t put it all together to secure a starting spot at FC Barcelona and Juventus. Perhaps a move to Ligue 1 could allow him to figure it out, much like Lucas Paquetá.
Despite the inconsistency, Transfermarkt puts Arthur’s transfer value at €50-million. We’ll see whether PSG would be happy with a potential swap that includes Arthur or whether they’re looking for cash only.
