One of the positions that Paris Saint-Germain would like to improve is in the midfield. The capital club has Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes along with quality depth pieces in Ander Herrera, Idrissa Gueye, and Danilo Pereira.
The French giants want to bring in an impactful player to go along with the Verratti-Paredes duo, and it seems as though they found their target plus how much they’re willing to spend.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via Canal Supporters), PSG is ready to spend €60-million on Fabián Ruiz. The 25-year-old Napoli midfielder is under contract with the Italian side until 2023, and they could be open to selling the player should they fall short of a UEFA Champions League spot.
When it comes to the reported price that PSG is willing to fork over, it’s more than enough for Ruiz’s is worth. Transfermarkt puts the Napoli midfielder’s transfer value is at €44-million.
Les Parisiens aren’t the lone team following the player as Spanish sides Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid are among those eyeing the player. Meanwhile, in Serie A, AC Milan and Juventus FC are tracking the midfielder too.
The capital club hasn’t had much luck negotiating with Napoli as in the past various reports had PSG wanting to obtain players like Allan and Kalidou Koulibaly. Perhaps the third time is the charm.
