Gianluigi Donnarumma will be departing AC Milan this summer when his contract expires on June 30th. With Paris Saint-Germain’s sporting director Leonardo having connections with the player while he was in Milan, it comes as no surprise that they’re expressing interest in the goalkeeper.
Téléfoot (via Paris Fans) reports the French giants’ plan for a potential free transfer of Donnarumma, considering Keylor Navas is the starter and recently extended his contract.
The media outlet states that PSG could consider the signing of Donnarumma as a two-step operation as they might look to sign the player before loaning him out.
If the capital club can secure a goalkeeper with national team experience at a young age to take over for Navas, it’s a file that they’d be crazy not to pursue. Although Les Parisiens have an interest in Donnarumma, they aren’t alone. Juventus FC and FC Barcelona are the other clubs in Europe expressing interest in the 22-year-old.
