Despite winning the Serie A league title, Inter Milan will have to sell players this summer because of heavy debts. With the Italian club looking to sell, Paris Saint-Germain wants to advantage by swooping in and purchasing Achraf Hakimi.
Paris Fans report that both the French giants and Hakimi have agreed to a five-year contract with an annual salary of €6.5-million. Furthermore, the media outlet adds that the Morocco international is enthusiastic about joining Les Parisiens.
For Hakimi, it’s a good way out with the Inter Milan project, which is worrying considering the players they’ll need to sell this summer. The 22-year-old can thus continue at the highest level, with the opportunity to win titles, including the UEFA Champions League.
The last hurdle of discussion with Inter Milan is the transfer sum, but it seems pretty surmountable. For the moment, the negotiations are around €50-million. A sum that could be sufficient, except that we still have to find the right formula.
PSG, for example, offered a paying loan of €15-million and a purchase option of €35-million. This method doesn’t satisfy the Serie A champions, which logically want the money as quickly as possible.
