The future of Kylian Mbappé, who’s still under contract until June 2022 at PSG, will be on everyone’s mind this summer. The forward has been thinking about his future for several months amid interest from other clubs such as Real Madrid.
During an appearance on France Bleu Paris (via Canal Football) Stéphane Bitton, PSG currently does not have the players necessary to keep Mbappé.
“Today, PSG does not have the necessary players to keep Kylian Mbappé. We have to face the facts; Paris lacks consistency and mentality. We know that he’s Psg Mercato: French Football Pundit States That Paris SG Doesn’t Have Necesarry Players to Keep Kylian Mbappéambitious, wants to win everything and very quickly, and has no more time to waste. In any case, he thinks so. Obviously, PSG suffers, and us with it, not to have more Navas or Marquinhos or more Kylian Mbappé. To keep the Bondy Kid, he said so; we’ll see what happens in the future,” Bitton said.
“It is up to you to play, to be good, and to go and find what Paris lacks to win the Champions League. Remember that there is only one winner every year. It’s an important summer for the capital club as they look to revamp the squad to convince Mbappé to remain with the French giants. Recently, Eduardo Camavinga reportedly stated his preference to join PSG, but they’ll need to negotiate a lower transfer fee, considering Stade Rennais FC wants €100-million for the play.
PSG sporting director Leonardo has the challenging task to land players that could convince the 22-year-old that they’ll do everything in their power to bring in players that shows they want to win while the player and Neymar Jr. are in their prime years and not only say it.
It will be interesting to see whether Mbappé believes them at their word o needs to think about selling.
