Paris Saint-Germain has positions it would like to see an upgrade this summer, and one of them is right-back. The capital club will not be triggering its option to buy clause on Alessandro Florenzi’s loan, so the 30-year-old will be returning to AS Roma.
The French giants have had their eyes on Serge Auirer as a possible replacement for Florenzi. However, France Football put together a list of players that PSG could target to solve their right-back issues. Some names will look familiar, others not so much.
RB Leipzig’s Nordi Mukiele is the first name that the French media outlet writes as a possible target. The 23-year-old has made 107 appearances for the German club. Transfermarkt puts his value at €23-million and is under contract until 2023.
Another name that PSG should pursue according to the piece is Gabriele Zappa, who plays at Cagliari Calcio. The French media outlet states that the capital club should pull another Marco Verratti in finding a world-class player that the biggest clubs in Italy passed over, considering Zappa was in Inter Milan’s youth system.
Zappa has made 35 appearances for Cagliari, where he registered four assists. Transfermarkt puts the 21-year-old’s value at €7-million and is under contract until 2025.
Everyone can read the rest of the recommendations at left and right-back at France Football.
