‘Pochettino Has Two Years on His Contract With PSG’ – Paris SG’s Leonardo Debunks Rumors Over a Possible Change at Manager

Over the last few days, plenty of rumors have surfaced over the future of Mauricio Pochettino. There have been reports that the Argentine tactician has asked to leave with clubs such as Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur expressing interest in the manager.

With reports fanning the flames of his future at Paris Saint-Germain, sporting director Leonardo finally appeared publicly in an attempt to put any questions regarding Pochettino’s future with the French giants to rest.

The Brazilian club chief spoke to Europe 1 and France Bleu Paris (via Canal Supporters), where he addressed the ongoing rumors of Pochettino.

“Mauricio Pochettino has two years on his contract with PSG, and we are very happy,” Leonardo said.

Unless there’s a candidate that PSG might prefer over Pochettino, like perhaps former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane, it seems as though the 49-year-old will remain the manager going forward.

However, there’s also the case in which either Los Blancos or Spurs look to compensate the French giants for allowing Pochettino to depart before his contract expires.
