Paris Saint-Germain is set to face off against AS Monaco in the upcoming 2021 Coupe de France Final. Both teams head into the matchup in promising form considering their recent winning streaks in Ligue 1 play.
For Pochettino, the Argentine manager will have an opportunity to win his second trophy with PSG. The PSG manager already led the team to a notable rivalry win against Olympique de Marseille in the Trophee des Champions final earlier this season.
As he detailed following PSG’s key Ligue 1 win against Reims (via Le Parisien), Pochettino and his squad are well-prepared for this second final of the season.
“The state of form is what they are,” Pochettino said. “We have the motivation and the desire to win this French Cup for the good of the club.”
Pochettino is yet to win a domestic cup final in his career as a manager. The Argentine had multiple chances to win such a trophy with Tottenham but came up short each time. Now, the Argentine will be looking to not only win a long-awaited domestic cup trophy but also finally pick up a win against AS Monaco this season.
