Neymar and Kylian Mbappe once again put on a show over this season’s UEFA Champions League competition. The two PSG stars not only had their way in contributing key goals but they also found ways to beat defenders with ease.
Opposing defenses had a difficult time containing both Neymar and Mbappe when they maintained possession. For instance, Neymar and Mbappe each finished with a 3.7 dribbles per game average in Champions League play this season, as noted by WhoScored.
In this particular dribbling statistic, only Barcelona’s Lionel Messi finished with a higher average as he notched a 4.7 dribbles per game average over six Champions League fixtures played. Messi also ranked first in this stat in last season’s Champions League competition as he sported a 7.1 dribbles per game average, which was followed by Neymar’s 6.1 figure.
Neymar and Mbappe are well renowned among the top dribblers in not only Ligue 1 but overall in the sport today.
